Inspiration
Mount and Blade
What it does
Offers entertainment by allowing you to play with your friends and defend a town together.
How we built it
Unity and Photon Fusion
Challenges we ran into
I created it during the CSI's FIRST-EVER GAME JAM EVENT with limited experience with Photon Fusion and multiplayer games. So I had to figure out a lot of new concepts by myself and in a relatively short amount of time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The troop command system. It is very nice to be able to command a group of units and have them do different things.
What we learned
I learned a lot about Photon Fusion and specifically how to create a lot of network objects and swap control between them.
What's next for One Town
I probably won't be working on this game anymore. But if I ever do, I would rework the Goblin spawn system so that players get some breathing room instead of nonstop waves of enemies. I would add the ability to build buildings so that players can expand their towns and play for longer periods of time.
