ONE-MINUTE SHOP

Inspiration

Many small business owners, local creators, and solopreneurs want to sell online, but they are held back by technical barriers. Existing website builders are either too complex (requiring hours of tutorials) or too rigid. We wanted to eliminate the friction entirely. Our inspiration was simple: What if building a professional online storefront was as easy as answering a few questions and took less than 60 seconds?

What it does

ONE-MINUTE SHOP is a lightning-fast, AI-powered storefront builder. It allows anyone to generate a fully functional, mobile-responsive e-commerce landing page instantly. Users simply walk through an intuitive step-by-step wizard to:

• Choose from curated, highly-aesthetic color presets (or pick their own).
• Select and reorder page sections (Hero, Products, Description, About, Contact) using a seamless drag-and-drop interface.
• Use our built-in "AI Suggest/Enhance" button to automatically write professional copywriting for their hero text, product descriptions, and brand story.
• Hit deploy and instantly receive a unique, live URL to share with their customers.

How we built it

We built this MVP with a focus on rapid execution. We heavily utilized MeDo as our core development accelerator to build, test, and iterate the application within just 24 hours. MeDo allowed us to move incredibly fast—from defining the initial MVP checklist to scaffolding the UI, handling state management for the live preview, and setting up the instant deployment logic.

Challenges we ran into

Building a dynamic live preview that instantly syncs with user inputs and drag-and-drop reordering was tricky. We also ran into UI/UX challenges, specifically ensuring that custom color schemes propagated correctly to all nested components (like the style selector buttons and progress indicators) without "leaking" default colors. Tracking down these CSS leaks and ensuring the native HTML color pickers worked smoothly required multiple rapid iterations and QA testing loops.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are incredibly proud that we actually delivered a working, deployable MVP in less than 24 hours. The core loop works flawlessly: a user can arrive, click a few buttons, use AI to generate text, and leave with a live, beautiful storefront URL. Fixing the color synchronization bugs and getting the drag-and-drop UI to feel native and responsive within such a tight deadline was a huge win for us.

What we learned

We learned the power of extreme prioritization. By strictly following our MVP checklist and leveraging MeDo for rapid development, we realized that shipping a functional product with 80% perfection is vastly superior to endless planning. We also learned a lot about state management across complex, multi-step React forms and handling dynamic theme generation on the fly.

What's next for ONE-MINUTE SHOP

This MVP is just the foundation. Next, we plan to:

• Add a fully functional shopping cart and checkout integration (e.g., Stripe or WhatsApp order routing).
• Introduce more AI-generated section layouts and image generation for product placeholders.
• Implement custom domain mapping for premium users.
• Add user authentication to allow users to log back in and edit their deployed storefronts.
