There's a whole host of tools that help power users find what they're looking for online, with 1001 categories, filters, and daily deals at their disposal.

What about the rest of us?

There's a very large majority (up to 80% of men alone) who say that they don't enjoy shopping; all these search 'options' simply make their experience more difficult, especially in the majority of instances where they just want something that 'works', and the brand or model doesn't matter.

One&Done is designed on a singular focus: To let users get what they need and move on with their lives as soon as possible. Time is only getting harder to come by, and most of us don't enjoy spending our time researching and picking out a blender when, at the end of the day, any ol' blender could do.

The process

  • Tell One&Done what you're looking for (literally, with your voice!)
  • Keep rolling through suggested products until you find something that'll work for you
  • Get navigation directions to go pick up your product, or add it to your calendar to retrieve it later.

Technology

One&Done was built using Apache Cordova, which means that it can easily ported between Android, iOS, and browser applications. The site itself is fully responsive, for all browser sizes. The voice search functionality works on Chrome and other Webkit Speech enabled browsers.

Other projects used: Nanobar, Fermata.js, jQuery, jQuery Velocity, Typeahead.js, Webkit Speech
