Inspiration
Phishing attacks are one of the most common cyber threats, yet many users do not report them due to lack of awareness or complicated reporting processes. Seeing people fall victim to fake emails, messages, and links inspired us to create a simple and quick solution that encourages everyone to report phishing with just one click.
What it does
The One-Click AI-Powered Phishing Reporting Platform allows users to instantly report suspicious emails, links, or messages. The system uses Artificial Intelligence to analyze the reported content and automatically classify it as phishing or safe, while notifying security teams to take immediate action.
How we built it
We built the platform using a browser or email-based reporting button connected to a backend system. When a report is submitted, the backend collects the URL, message content, and sender details. AI models using Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning analyze this data and generate a classification, which is then shared with security teams or authorities.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges was minimizing false positives while maintaining high detection accuracy. Integrating AI analysis with real-time reporting and ensuring user data privacy were also challenging. These issues required careful model training and secure data handling strategies.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully designed a user-friendly one-click reporting mechanism and integrated AI-based phishing detection. The platform demonstrates how simplicity and intelligence can work together to improve cybersecurity awareness and response time.
What we learned
Through this project, we learned about real-world phishing techniques, AI-based threat detection, and secure system design. We also gained experience in problem-solving, teamwork, and building solutions that focus on user experience.
What's next for One-Click Phishing Reporting Platform – AI
In the future, we plan to enhance the AI models for higher accuracy, add support for more platforms like mobile apps and SMS, and integrate real-time threat intelligence sharing across organizations to strengthen overall cybersecurity.
