Inspiration

For this project, our team was inspired by Goldman Sachs problem statement and our experiences with difficult and inefficient onboarding situations. By combining our experiences with our prior knowledge in AI, we were motivated to design a solution that can make vendor and client onboarding processes more seamless.

What it does

Currently, onboarding processes are slow, manual, and prone to errors. Our platform, OnDeck, simplifies vendor and client onboarding by automating identity checks using facial recognition, document uploads, and security compliance.

How we built it

We used a modern with a full-stack architecture designed for modularity and AI integration.

Challenges we ran into

While working on our project, we realized the many pages we would need and struggled with how to organize them so the user experience was seamless and free of issues. After thoroughly planning out the layout and structure of our web app, our team was able to create a clean and consistent flow that connected each step of the onboarding process smoothly.

  • Built an end-to-end functional onboarding system connecting UI to API to AI logic
  • Designed a scalable backend architecture ready for future cloud deployment
  • Established clean team Git workflows to handle real-time collaboration

What's next for OnDeck

  • Fine-tune ML risk models for real-world vendor data
  • Integrate Gemini for natural-language risk summaries and anomaly detection
