Inspiration
Inspiration is in the task itself - make a decentralized version of discourse. I have taken inspiration from 2 different discourse forums - Mongodb forum and codcademy forum.
What it does
This is a discourse-like forum for programmers. Where programmers can ask questions or share knowledge.
How we built it
I have picked NextJS as the web framework. This app directly talks to ceramic network with the help of APIs that are available in Orbis SDK. Users can create posts in different categories, users can comment on other user's posts, authenticate themselves with the help of Orbis SDK.
Challenges we ran into
I am new to decentralized tech. Wrapping my head around decentralized technologies like ceramic, orbis, metamask, wallets was bit challenging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This forum can really become a real world project like discourse. This is the first time I am working with decentralized technology. The fact that I could built this is an accomplishment for me. Also, it shows how well-built Orbis SDK is.
What we learned
I have learned a lot about decentralized tech and its possibilities through this challenge.
