Inspiration
Montgomery College has three separate campuses and lots of online only students, because of this it can be difficult to create and join campus events. We wanted to create an application to make this easier for students.
What it does
It allows students to find all campus events on one application. It also provides a marketplace for students to buy, sell, and share learning materials and school supplies.
How we built it
We used Google Stitch to design the application, Flutter to code, Supabase for backend/database, and GitHub for collaboration.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many errors throughout the process of creating the application. Some of these errors include email verification, handling images within the application, and integrating Flutter and Supabase.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have built and created an application that we believe students can actually use and benefit from.
What we learned
We learned a lot about how to actually create an application and how to overcome problems. We also learned how to collaborate with out peers to overcome these problems together.
What's next for OnCampus
We plan to publish the application in the coming week and promote it to students so they are actually able to use it and benefit from its features.
