OnboardPro – Personalized Employee Onboarding

Inspiration

My client wanted to implement AI for the HR department. At first, I was stuck and couldn’t find any solutions that felt innovative enough. He specifically asked for something that could boost productivity and maximize the use of AI. This inspired me to think about how onboarding could be transformed into a personalized, automated experience that makes employees feel welcomed and frees HR teams from repetitive tasks.

What it does

OnboardPro creates a personalized onboarding journey for every new hire. It generates a custom onboarding pathway based on the employee’s role and department. A conversational AI chatbot (“onboarding buddy”) answers common questions. It provides an interactive checklist and automates scheduling of introductory meetings. This helps improve new hire satisfaction and accelerates time-to-productivity.

How I built it

I used Bolt as the main platform to design and build the app without any coding. Tavus was integrated to enable the conversational AI component. I combined several AI tools to dynamically create checklists and handle scheduling. This no-code approach allowed me, as a non-technical person, to build a professional AI application.

Challenges I ran into

In the beginning, I struggled to even define the right problem to solve. There were so many AI tools that it felt overwhelming to choose the right ones and make them work together. Learning how to integrate everything into a single seamless workflow took trial and error.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Overcoming the initial confusion and building a clear vision for the product. Learning to use Bolt and Tavus effectively. Creating an AI-powered solution that could genuinely help HR teams and employees alike. Doing all of this without any programming experience.

What we learned

How to leverage no-code platforms to build complex AI solutions. The importance of designing with both HR teams and new employees in mind. That innovation often comes from rethinking everyday processes like onboarding.

What's next for OnboardPro – Personalized Employee Onboarding

This project is currently in the discussion stage with my client. The next steps will be: Refining the prototype based on feedback. Testing the platform with pilot users. Exploring integrations with HR management systems to make deployment seamless. I am excited to see how OnboardPro can help organizations deliver a world-class onboarding experience.
