💡 What Inspired Us We were inspired by a common challenge: companies struggle to deliver structured, engaging onboarding experiences — especially for Gen Z. Traditional formats (PDFs, outdated portals, long slide decks) no longer meet the expectations of younger employees entering the workforce.

We saw an opportunity to leverage AI, video avatars, and smart workflows to transform static internal content into personalised onboarding journeys. Our mission was to create a platform that feels welcoming, interactive, and efficient — for both HR teams and new hires.

📚 What We Learned During our discovery phase, we interviewed a Brazilian onboarding startup generating over $2M/month. Their insights into what worked — and what didn’t — helped shape our strategic and technical decisions.

We also learned a lot about:

How Gen Z interacts with digital onboarding tools

The real-world constraints faced by HR teams (limited time, tight budgets)

The importance of aligning product, UX, and engineering from the beginning

How to collaborate effectively under pressure and manage roles to avoid burnout

🛠️ How We Built It We assembled a small but powerful cross-functional team:

Bruno – Product lead and business strategist

Bianca – UI/UX designer with an HR background

Vini – Software engineer

Claudia – No-code developer

Ana – Our 18-year-old software engineering student and Gen Z test user

We kicked off with the Business Model Canvas, guided by Bruno’s experience. Then Claudia and Bianca created a complete Product Requirements Document (PRD), outlining features, personas, flows, and data structures.

With only two days left for development, Vini took the lead on implementation — collaborating with AI tools to structure content, simulate onboarding flows, and prepare the MVP. Claudia used no-code tools to bring the interface to life quickly, ensuring we could iterate fast.

Ana, our youngest team member and Gen Z representative, handled the QA (Quality Assurance) stage — testing the experience end to end and helping us spot UX gaps. Unfortunately, we couldn’t implement everything planned in the PRD due to time constraints, but we delivered a functional prototype and validated our core ideas.

🧗‍♀️ Challenges We Faced Aligning everyone's schedules with just one week to deliver

Limited time to integrate video tools like Tavus or ElevenLabs

Converting unstructured PDFs and links into clean, interactive modules

Creating a product that was intuitive for HR yet engaging for Gen Z

Prioritising features without compromising user experience

Despite the challenges, the experience taught us how to collaborate under pressure and trust each other's strengths.

🚀 What’s Next We’re proud of the MVP, but even more excited about what comes next.

We plan to continue developing this platform using tools like Bolt, Tavus, and Eleven Labs to create a deeply personal, fully automated onboarding experience — one that’s both scalable for companies and delightful for new hires.

We believe onboarding should be:

Human, not corporate

Personalised, not generic

Fast to build, but rich in experience

And this is just the beginning.
