Inspiration
With current restrictions, there is a lot of opportunities for people to help each other out in regards to essential delivery. This application provides a way in which communities can come together with simple acts of kindness.
What it does
Connects people who are limited in regards to transportation with people who are able to pick things up for them. Users can posts lists of essential items they are looking to get delivered to them by people that are close by. Users can also search the database for posted lists near an address that they are "on the way" to and get in contact with the user who posted them.
How we built it
Python, Flask, Google Maps, SQL, HTML, Bootstrap, Ajax, JS
Challenges we ran into
Web hosting, database manipulations, various language/framework documentation, back end to front end connecting, overall architecture planning.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was our first experience with designing and executing a web application! We used many of these technologies for the first time during this project!
What we learned
How to use SQL databases, Bootstrap, calling APIs, connecting front and backend services, POST and GET requests.
