Inspiration
We all enjoyed playing blackjack.
What it does
Our project creates a casino experience with multiple games without requiring login or wifi.
How we built it
We used the Django framework to create our project. Following our drawn up design, we created landing and game pages that are travel themed using HTML and CSS. Our backend was all in python and could be sent info from the front end using special django brackets.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges that we ran into was importing classes and methods from other files. We would try and call methods from another page but wouldn't be able to use those methods. We weren't able to solve this until we specifically told the page what cards to print.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were proud of our card designs, and the fact that we needed to learn all of web dev. We were also happy that we worked so well as a team.
What we learned
We learned how a full stack framework works, how to create html tags, and how to style those elements using CSS.
What's next for On The Go Card Games
We would love to add more logic to the games and in the future add more games for people to play.
