Inspiration

This was a fun project where I wanted to poke fun at the consumer culture that we are all enveloped in. I leaned in to generative AI’s tendency to go a little off – kind of hallucinate but based on real world trained data. So, it was great fun to build a world of stylized typical consumers buzzed on the news of a sale. A black Friday FOMO takes over and the joy of buying is everything. I like how these AI tools helped me craft a world that blends a 1950’s look with art deco, streamlined kitchens and jet set cars all rolled into one. I wanted it to be fun, not so serious, and yet still make a commentary on the state of affairs.
