Inspiration The idea for On Demand was inspired by the success of ride-hailing apps like Uber and Bolt. While these platforms revolutionized transportation, we noticed a gap in the service industry. Finding a reliable plumber, hairdresser, or carpenter often requires word-of-mouth referrals or endless searching. We wanted to streamline this process allowing customers to book skilled professionals with the same ease as ordering a ride.

What it does Connects customers to service providers (vice-versa)

How we built it The project was built using languages such as: (Frontend) html, css, and js; (Backend) Express js and Firebase

Challenges we ran into Lack of motivation among team members Imposter Syndrome among teammates difficulty uploading to aws difficulty getting the database to store the information

Accomplishments that we're proud of The team was able to pull through at the last minute We were able to create and design a semi-functional website

What we learned To better manage our time That as the Team Lead you are to find creative ways to motivate team members In order to thrive as a team, your team members have to be like minded.

What's next for On Demand (Row 9) The future of on-demand services lies in AI-driven smart matching, subscription models, expanded service categories, secure instant payments, and AR-powered service previews for enhanced user experience.
