Inspiration I was inspired by the contrast between Okinawa’s deep-rooted traditions and the rising wave of modern Japanese street culture with 100% AI tools.
What it does Omote × Rasen visualizes the collision of old and new Japan through traditional outfits and modern dances.
How we built it Using various models we were able to combine unique meaningful outfits and rhythmic dance moves.
Challenges we ran into When transferring motion to characters, I found it really hard to find the right clean driving video that would match well with the complex outfits i've designed. It often morphs outfits or faces.
Accomplishments that we're proud of A cohesive cinematic piece that feels both culturally relevant and bold.
What we learned AI can be a powerful tool for exploring cultural evolutions.
