Inspiration

The constant frustration of using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude while working in VS Code, Gmail, or browsers broke my flow every single time. I'd highlight code or text, switch tabs, paste, prompt, copy back, and repeat — losing precious seconds that compounded into hours weekly. Watching Logitech's MX Creative Console demos, with its dynamic LCD keys, dials, and macros, I realized this hardware could become the missing tactile bridge to AI. The idea hit: why not turn the console into a universal, context-aware AI interface that injects intelligence directly into any app?

What it does

OmniPrompt AI transforms the Logitech MX Creative Console into a universal tactile interface for AI, acting as an always-on background agent that detects your active application and dynamically adapts the console's physical controls to provide instant, context-aware AI actions. No more tab-switching or copy-pasting: highlight text in any app, press an LCD key to trigger tasks like refactoring code in VS Code, drafting professional emails in Gmail, or summarizing financial reports in a browser. The smooth dial physically tunes the AI's creativity level (temperature: factual on the left, highly creative on the right), while the roller controls output length (concise to detailed).

How we built it

Since we're still in the ideation and planning phase (no code written yet), the "build" so far consists of deep research and structured design.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Even pre-coding, I'm proud of crafting a genuinely novel, high-impact idea that perfectly aligns with Logitech's hardware strengths and solves a universal pain point in AI usage.

What we learned

Through research and ideation I've gained: A deeper appreciation for how hardware like dials and LCD keys can make software interactions feel magical and frictionless when context-aware. Insight into the Logi Actions SDK's power for dynamic, app-specific customization, but also its boundaries around real-time events and background execution.
