Inspiration
I work as General Manager for a hostel and our team had a hard time keeping up and responding to messages in different channels.
In just 2 DAYS I created a fully functional web solution, which they are already testing and using.
What it does
The system syncs messages automatically and allows for quicker responses.
How we built it
Bolt.new did the heavy work, I used a server that I had running to host the backend and Netlify for the frontend.
The good thing is: Both frontend and backend are in the same repository, so any updates to the backend are made by Bolt.new, I just run a single script: quick_deploy.sh
Coding has never been easier.
Challenges we ran into
When the project gets more complex and big, it can take a lot of time and credits to develop. Better to be proactive in prompts like: Please refactor the code and modularize the system to make it simpler and easier to maintain.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Syncing messages sent bewteen different chat instances. It's beautiful to see it working this fast.
What we learned
SaaS business models are coming to an end. Why would I pay 700 USD per month on a solution I can develop myself in a month?
What's next for Omnichannel Chat Support
Integrate KPIs to track staff performance and a chatbot to propose responses.
