Omini

Inspiration

Omini was inspired by the idea of combining productivity with fun. Browsing can often feel routine, so we set out to create an AI-powered companion that not only assists with tasks but also feels like a friendly pet by your side.

What it does

Omini is your AI pet for the browser, offering:

• Chat: Talk to your AI pet for assistance or just for fun.
  
• Analyze: Summarize websites and check their security details.
  
• Translate: Convert entire webpages or text from English to your desired language.
  
• Rewrite: Help rewrite emails or other content effortlessly.
  We’re also working on adding features like playing with your pet and advanced browser automation.
  

How we built it

Omini was built using JavaScript, Browser APIs, and Gemini’s built-in API. These tools allowed us to create a lightweight, responsive Chrome extension with AI capabilities integrated seamlessly.

Challenges we ran into

• Ensuring translations and rewrites are accurate and user-friendly.
