OMG - Organized Meetings for Groups

Inspiration

I wondered how the atmosphere of my seminar class (e.g. in class or online) affected participation. I pondered on creating a software that would help make sure that everyone was able to participate comfortably.

What it does

The website allows for people to raise their hand and be called on for a specific amount of time. Also, the leader is able to control the agenda, control the floor, and call for votes.

How I built it

I used Dreamweaver to create multiple HTML, js, css, and PHP files.

Challenges I ran into

I had little to no experience with SQL, so I had to struggle with trying to learn the language.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud that the queue system works with little to no bugs, so the website could work with ordering speakers.

What I learned

I learned how to create databases and the importance of organization.

What's next for OMG - Organized Meetings for Groups

I'd like to make OMG fully functional and user friendly like the prototype I drew up.
