Lately, we have watched in tv news , that even though people were arranged in queues in supermarkets/pharmacies, there was a high possibility for the virus to be spread there.
Problem and Solution : During the current situation of COVID19 , the contact between people should be as small as possible .Moreover people should not be deprived from buying their necessary products such as food and medicines. In order to avoid the accumulation of people in supermarkets, pharmacies and to provide them the most essential products we as a group raised the idea of a local online delivery. The idea of building the local online delivery not only helps in keeping the number of infected people with COVID 19 low, but it also helps the local businesses.
Software Solution As a group we planned to develop a software application which will serve as a third party, between the customers and the stores/pharmacies . User stories: Every user is allowed to create an account , with his/her personal information. Pharmacy/Supermarkets’ administrators may create their own accounts as well ,through which they will manage the supermarket/pharmacy’s data. Also they will have the possibility to create new products , to update the existing ones or to delete them. If the pharmacy/Supermarket has its own online system, our software will provide them the possibility to integrate their system into ours. An employee of the pharmacy/Supermarket will register data related to their supermarket/pharmacy such as their location , their products. The employee of the may view the orders and forward the order to the person who is responsible for delivering the product to the customer’s home address.
A normal registered user, will login to our platform. Pharmacies/Supermarkets near to his/her location will be recommended to him/her. Also, the pharmacies /supermarkets that will be recommended to the user will be displayed according to their capacity to deliver products. In other words the software will suggest to the user those supermarkets/pharmacies which can deliver their products in a reasonable time.
The normal user will order the food/medicine, and an order will be added to the store/pharmacy. Each order will have a status, its delivery is completed and when its payment is done , the status will change to “FINISHED”.
We hope that our idea will be a good solution for the current problem of Corona Virus 2019.
