Inspiration

The project is inspired by vintage Pixar-style cartoons, combining playful exaggeration with warm, nostalgic storytelling. This aesthetic set the tone for a fast, energetic, and imaginative sequence.

What it does

The short film uses rapid, dynamic editing to follow a boy rushing home as his small toy car begins to transform. The narrative blends childhood excitement with cinematic action, creating a lively and whimsical moment of discovery.

How we built it

Midjourney to generate the images and visual concepts Kling and Hailuo to animate the scenes and bring motion to the transformed car and the character The process focused on capturing a consistent cartoon look throughout all shots.

Challenges we ran into

Maintaining stylistic coherence and consistent character design across multiple animated segments was the main challenge, especially with fast-paced transitions.

Winner at the NYC GenArt Hackathon — Hailuo, Oink (Best Narrative)

What we learned

The project highlights the power of a child’s imagination, showing how even the smallest object can spark an entire world of adventure.
