Inspiration
We wanted to create a 2d platformer game and were inspired by Adam's skateboarding skills, so we decided that we could incorporate both of these elements to a game.
What it does
It's a side-scrolling 2d platformer game that has obstacles and collectibles that make the game more engaging. The goal of the player is to reach the end point of the map.
How we built it
We used A.I. to build the framework and assist us in debugging the game and referenced the documentation for complex concepts such as Phaser for the physics in our game.
Challenges we ran into
At a certain point in the project, the A.I would generate flawed code, so we had to work on our prompt engineering and focus on smaller portions of our code to debug and implement new features.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our assets and animations because they are all original and give the uniqueness to our game.
What we learned
We learned to develop a web supported game using Visual Studios from scratch, and how to solve merge conflicts on GitHub.
What's next for Ollie Chaos
We hope to implement more engaging features such as a score system and stamina system to increase the difficulty of the game and improve replayability.
