Inspiration

In school, we studied for marks. In college, for a degree. Now, we work for money. But what if learning returned to its true purpose — understanding and applying knowledge to real problems?

OkYourProject was born from this reflection — to change how people learn, teach, and evaluate by putting real-world projects and problem-solving at the center of education. It aims to connect industry challenges with student innovation, making learning more meaningful and impactful.

What it does

OkYourProject is an AI-powered, project-based learning platform that guides students through a full journey:

Think – Generate innovative, AI-suggested project ideas tailored to their degree, interests, and even current industry problems.

Plan – Organize the idea with project planning tools (task list, timeline, resources, budget).

Build – Execute their project using curated design, development, and testing tools.

Submit – Auto-generate documentation and present outcomes.

Hub – Explore career pathways (academic, entrepreneurial, or jobs).

It empowers students to solve real industry problems, not just theoretical ones — bridging the gap between education and employability.

How we built it

We used:

Lovable.dev for frontend (no-code)

Supabase for backend (auth, database, APIs)

OpenAI + Make.com for AI-powered idea generation and workflow automation

Trello, Airtable, Notion for project planning flows

Structured the user journey as: Think → Plan → Build → Submit → Hub

The platform enables students to select problems based on sectors, technologies, or real business needs — making it easy to align their academic work with industry relevance.

Challenges we ran into

Building a backend from scratch with no prior dev experience

Structuring and saving project data (tasks, timelines, budgets) per user and per project

Designing a clean UX for students to navigate step-by-step

Making AI integration purposeful and intuitive

Mapping real industry problems into project-ready formats for students
