Oil Spill Storyline

Inspiration

The theme of environment and showcasing small voices and the POV behind our declining, worldwide environment.

What it does

It takes your through a short story, the user is a fisherman impacted by the oil spill.

How we built it

We built it through VS Code using the Java language to write out each line of the story.

Challenges we ran into

Writing all of the lines of code did take up a good chunk of time as we were also simultaneously thinking up the storyline. We also initially began with another project which had to scrap due to our lack of coding capabilities which took up a lot of our time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we were able to utilize our coding skills that we learned in class and implement it into a project that we are able to expand in the future as we learn more about the computer science field and how we can complexity our project.

What we learned

We learned a little more about Java syntax and how to take in input from the user and use that to guide our story.

What's next for Oil Spill Storyline

We plan to add more to the story line as well as create a website where the user can feel more emmersed into the story. We also plan with that, to add images and potentially audio in order to enhance user experience.
