Inspiration

Our team had many stories regarding the need of use of a pdf merger or pdf cropper that is free to use. Currently, most of the in-use pdf's mergers require a monthly subscription. With how much pdf's are used, it should be free of charge.

What it does

Our project allows you to paste multiple pdf's into the drag and drop section and merges into one complete PDF. This website also lets you preview the last file you uploaded.

How we built it

We built the website on typescript, Node.js, react, and css mainly. The sever is a local host currently and uses a backend in python code.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting front-end and back-end is very difficult. We did not have time to fully connect everything as planned, as such some features had to be left behind.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that the final product is on a website and allows drag and drops. It also allows the merging of multiple pdf's instead of just two pdf's which is better than we initially planned.

What we learned

We learned new coding languages such as Python. We also learned the use cases of typescript and its format more as well. This was our first time at attempting to use API's so it was interesting to test this out as well.

What's next for Office PDF

We can add other features like a summary of the final pdf, cropping options, adjustment options, and more features on how to merge/crop pdf's.
