Inspiration
Unlock offers by location based check-in. the location based services is excellent business model to help users to get offers for visiting places often and very good business for MapQuest to promote offers and attract small business and enterprise users. JBL Everest can connect these and make it more COOL!!!
What it does
Search nearby area of interests (Starbucks, MacD, Hotels.. etc) and alters using JBL Everest without taking the phone out. You can nod to check-in and unlock the offers and double nod to discard the offer.
How we built it
Everest Android SDK, Restful API services used to track the location and search neat by interested places and uses JBL Everest Android SDK to connect to JBL headphones to uses gesture control to unlock the offers.
Challenges we ran into
JBL Everest SDK disconnects very often and MapQuest Android SDK drops sometime and produces error while using it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Prototype of the application that helps to check-in at Starbucks and new IDEA to MapQuest to support/provide/build location based services API. Successfully connected to JBL Everest using Android SDK after many hours of effort!!!
