Inspiration

Of course, he would was born from a desire to create something powerful, dark, and cinematic, a self-indulgent exploration of atmosphere and tension.
I imagined a father and daughter quietly talking in a restaurant while the world outside burns.
The image felt like a fragment of a larger film, one that doesn’t exist yet, but could.

What it does

The piece evokes emotional contrast, intimacy against destruction, calm against chaos.
Through visuals and sound, it immerses the viewer in a suspended moment that invites curiosity about the story behind it.

How we built it

I used AI-assisted image generation to craft the core visuals, layering and refining textures to evoke the grain and tone of 1990s anime.
Post-processing focused on enhancing cinematic color and light balance.
I also composed an original soundtrack to reinforce the heavy, tense atmosphere, merging sound and image into one cohesive experience.

Challenges we ran into

The greatest challenge was balance, maintaining emotional coherence. Blending organic imperfection with narrative precision required constant adjustments to preserve mood and intention.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I managed to achieve a mood that feels both familiar and strange, like a memory from a movie that never existed.
The textures, color grading, and music work together to create a powerful sense of suspended time.

What we learned

This project reminded me that AI can be more than a tool, it can act as a creative collaborator.
It taught me how to direct chaos, to let the machine’s randomness reveal emotion rather than erase it.

What's next for Of course, he would

I’d like to expand this piece into a longer narrative, perhaps a short film or an episodic project.
The world, characters, and tone already exist; they just need to be explored further.
