Inspiration

Our problem statement was to develop a platform where people who are interested in gardening can find their nearby local nurseries online and support the local business and contribute to vocal for local india this is a project fully inspired by the impact of gardening during the COVID-19 pandemic

PROJECT CODENAME -> twig

What it does

the main target of our project is to promote gardening by selling gardening products also guiding users with Guides specially made by gardening experts and curated by experts we can make the gardening process look easy promoting gardening with perfectly designed elements we could start a new topic in social trend making people post their garden styles in different handles, accomplishment badges building a worldwide community

How we built it

most of the design inspiration came from nextjs-commerce web template ( with some may tweak from outside to make it look better for our condition

Challenges we ran into

during development, we had to find out so many things like:

were to code
what is the best, optimal, fast way to build a good looking, fast, SEO compatible site
where to host site for free
how to accomplish easy methods in publishing products
designing it to make it look comfortable to human eyes and satisfy our theme
learning js, typescript and so many other technologies
solving the crazy problems ( The CRLF endings ) with windows to stop conflicting with code COMMIT-50005ce
debugging & solving problems with npm & nodejs versions and packages
as code is opensource make it better for visitors or to the people who adapt with our template by adapting to dev containers COMMIT-dockercoantainer

Accomplishments that we're proud of

coming up with a new idea to increase greenery with style coming up with a new idea that may help so many people to stay happy during the journey we managed to build a big site and tweak it in 3 days ( starting with very little knowledge of this platform)

What we learned

forgetting all the hard times by the end of the day we found ourselves with new skills sets

learned new technologies
learned how SEO works
learned new languages
learn how to distribute work with teammates
learned how use Figma & make a prototype
learn how humans get addicted to new things ( use to promote gardening )

What's next for ODHUL

we may be just started and our revision of the project may not look fully suited to our aim but with time and help we continue working on this project and making better in every iteration. one day with some more efforts and heartful people we start publishing the products and start satisfying our aim
