Inspiration

Interning across companies, you quickly realise that sometimes, there just isn't enough work to do. We don't think that's for lack of things that need to be done, but because jobs are not allocated efficiently. One person will be absolutely swamped with work, while for another, it's a quiet day. The odd job board aims to balance these things out.

What it does

The odd job board is essentially a space where anyone can post a small task they need help with, and someone who is free can accept the task. At it's core, that it. But by doing this, you completely change the way people work. No more twiddling your thumbs. No more being swamped with too many tasks. Now, everyone can find better balance, and companies can utilise their resources far more effectively.

How we built it

We prototyped our User Interface in Figma, so each developer on this project could have a shared wireframe reference to enhance coordination and prevent misunderstandings.

Built on Django, the odd job board is just essentially a web application, but with a brand new idea. This was our team’s first project built on Django.
