Inspiration

This is my entry into to the spec 'Marketing/Advertisement' category. With the release of Higgsfield Popcorn, I wanted to see if I could generate a short commercial with a consistent lead male, cinematic styling and locations.

What it does

A commercial for a fake eau de toilette starring a completely fake but really handsome male model. The story follows a man at a hotel in New York as he broodingly gets the idea to leave his lover who is showering and run to the rooftop to stare at the NYC skyline. Why I hear you ask? Because that's the weird narrative a lot of perfume ads seem to have!!

How we built it

Edited using Adobe Premiere Pro but using 100% AI generated assets - the music, the VO, every single visual shot. I generated one starting image using Seedream (via Higgsfield) and then build each subsequent shot using the Higgsfield Popcorn tool. I then animated each of the still images using Kling 2.5 Turbo (again via Higgsfield.) I kept generating new storyboard images in Popcorn where I was missing shots or needed to pad out sections.

By saving down each generation I needed, I was able to then use them for references in Popcorn whenever I needed more shots. It really helped with character consistency!

Challenges we ran into

The hardest challenge was actually location consistency. I knew I needed a hotel room with the male model in it and then needed him to leave the room and run through the hotel to the roof but creating that path of action and having the location feel authentic was actually harder than I thought.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is a fake commercial starring a fake human... yet it feels real. I could see this ad on TV or on Youtube and I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

What we learned

Combining different AI tools together can produce a far better result than limiting yourself to just one.
