Ocean Plastics

Plastic pollution is when plastic items contaminate water bodies such as lakes, rivers, and oceans. These items come from plastic items that we use everyday. Where does this all start?

Inspiration

My inspiration for this project was seeing items in our daily lives, and then ends up in the environment, endangering, injuring animals and polluting the environment. I've also been inspired by workshops on this topic that I've participated in.

What it does

This is a website and app prototype brings more awareness to the problem with explaining what it is, what are the affects of it, and what can we possibly do about this problem. For this project, I've made an app and website on this topic to help solve this problem.

How we built it

I built this project using HTML and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges that I've ran into was the time limit that I've had to created so much in so little time range. Also have not as much coding experience and having to create a whole new project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud that I got to accomplish and complete this project, both components in this amount of time including the website, and the prototype.

What we learned

I've learned so much about this plastic pollution problem, learned to code in HTML and CSS to create this website, to prototype the app.

What's next for Ocean Plastics

What's next will be to add more features to the app and to make it fully functional and accessible to everyone to all ages to spread the word about this problem around the globe.
