Inspiration

We were inspired to do this after seeing all the pollution at our local beach

What it does

It's a website that has information on the oceans and resources to help people get involved in the ocean conservancy movement.

How we built it

We used javascript and scss to build the website.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenges were getting the scrolling function and adding links to the pages. We also were not familier with next.js or scss at all so that made it more complicated.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to overcome the challenges and learn a bit about two new functions. We are very happy with the scrolling feature and the links. We also really like the UI/UX of the website.

What we learned

We learned a lot about how scss and nxt.js works. It was a big thing for us to learn how to make a scrolling page. We also learned how to deploy a website using Vercel.

What's next for Ocean Awareness

We want to expand and make the website more interactive. We want to add more resources. We also want to add live stats about the pollutions levels in the oceans as well as the welfare of the ocean animals.
