Obsurf

Inspiration - My favorite thing to do in life is backpacking. Backpacking teaches one to go back to the basics and see the world from the ground - where real connections lie. Through backpacking I learnt how to communicate, budget, make friends and break norms the society I was put under. I want to build a platform to break people out of their societal norms (bubble) and take a step to observe(Obsurf) and challenge that what they believe could be wrong. It makes the world a kinder place.

We discover so much of life that would only be found through putting ourselves in someone else's shoes.

What it does

Inspiring people to find out about norms that they would never have imagined.

Challenges we ran into

I have no idea how to manage cursor, this is my first time ever joining a hackathon. Ive always had this concept but never knew how to build and put it into real life. Thank you for allowing this platform for me.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Im a step closer to feeling who I want to be through building this platform. I selfishly built this platform for myself as I want to discover these hidden gems and find a way how to make the travel happened.

What we learned

I have no coding experience whatsoever. I discovered I could put ideas in my head into an actual platform now.

What's next for Obsurf

Making this actually usable, finding the right partner to build this with, building the community who want to discover these events respectfully. (Have fun whilst doing it!)
