Inspiration - Attendance management is a critical task for colleges, as it is closely linked to student academic performance and retention.
What it does - Traditionally, attendance has been tracked using paper-based or spreadsheet systems, which can be time-consuming and prone to errors. In recent years, there has been an increasing trend towards the use of online attendance management applications to streamline this process and improve accuracy. One such application is the online attendance management web application developed using the Django framework.
How we built - it The online attendance management web application using Django offers a number of advantages over classical attendance management systems. For one, it is more efficient and accurate, as it allows attendance data to be recorded and tracked in real-time, without the need for manual data entry. It also provides a more reliable and complete record of attendance data, which can be useful for generating reports and analyzing attendance patterns. Additionally, the application is more flexible and customizable, as it can be configured to meet the specific needs and requirements of the college.
Challenges we ran into - One of the biggest reasons as to why it becomes so hard to implement a school management system is that the software does not always meet the needs and requirements of the industry. There are always some specific tasks that such a system is expected to fulfil and the problems happen when these expectations are not met. This is the reason why it is so important that you, choose a system that would do what you expect it to do. You need to plan the entire work properly and execute it well. This would make sure that the school ERP (enterprise resource planning) system is implemented properly.

What we learned - With the continued support and cooperation of students, faculty, and staff, it is expected that the online attendance management web application will continue to be an important tool for improving student attendance and academic performance, as well as for streamlining the process of tracking attendance for the college.
