Inspiration

The thought of having something displayed or performed by a machine at our command. Something that would get you help in a few minutes.

What it does

It is a voice assistant that uses a number of libraries with some cool features and the WolframAlpha API to assist you and answer any of your questions whether it be the weather in Los Angeles or to find the derivative of a function you got from your math homework

How we built it

We used python and libraries and coded with the knowledge we had. However, as an artist takes time to admire and analyze his work before continuing so did we build our voice assistant in the likeness of that artist. We did not just build, we analyzed and we did not just analyze, we admired.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a lot of challenges from having to reinstall IDEs to spending hours rummaging the web for compatible libraries. Also literally almost die of boredom and confusion going through almost next to impossible to understand documentations. We had to painfully let go of a lot of cool APIs and technologies that would've enhanced and given the project wings. The ideation phase took a little longer. We could not exactly decide what problem to hack and how. Eventually, we did!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Completing this project in a couple of hours. We are proud of teaching ourselves tech and platforms we never tried before and embedding them in our project. In spite of our challenges, we managed to push through and eventually finish. Which is one of our greatest accomplishments given it was very hard to finish full-blown projects on our own without eventually abandoning it and blaming TIME, EXAMS, and SCHOOL.

What we learned

We learned to coordinate and collaborate better. We also introduced ourselves to new platforms. We challenged ourselves and surprised ourselves with what we built!

What's next for V'voice

V'voice needs it's code to be enhanced and its swag to get cooler. ML and AI should be focused on more and a better version of V'voice could turn out. Making V'voice more user-interactive and children friendly.
