Inspiration:
We were inspired by the challenges of organ transplant that we researched. We thought that this topic would be a unique topic, and we were really enthusiastic to create a website that would help facilitate the organ transplant process. One group member also has a family member that has coordinated organ transplants in the past, so they were really excited to pursue it further and implement their prior knowledge into this project.
What it does
Our website is made for doctors to store and reference organ transplant patients' medical information. Doctors can log into their account, where they will be directed to the dashboard of patients that they are currently treating. When they click on a patient, they can reference their medical information, tasks for the upcoming transplant procedure, and notes about the patient. When the doctor presses the button "Save Changes," the information about the patient will be saved.
How we built it
We used python as a back end and html as a front end, coding it so the elements of the website were easy to navigate and understand.
Challenges we ran into
We had trouble deciding on a topic to pursue in our project, but we finally decided on a topic that we all agreed on.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of completing a project in a short amount of time and adding lots of features.
What we learned
We learned about the process of transplanting organs and its rigor.
What's next for O.T.O - Organ Transplant Organizer
We plan to expand the website into an accessible source that all doctors can use.
