Integrating voice-only apps into our daily life and workplace is difficult. How can we incorporate that in our daily lives? The solution is O.K XREAL, your AI Voice Companion.

Inspiration

We were inspired to create this AI voice companion from the movie Iron Man. Jarvis was Tony Stark's companion and helped him perform many different tasks as quickly as possible whether in the mundane daily life or intense situations.

What it does

It detects voice commands and perform tasks based on those commands such as: making subtitles, taking notes, and generating recipes for cooking.

How we built it

We built it using Python and integrating a ChatGPT API along with python packages in order to perform voice recognition.

Challenges we ran into

We couldn't turn the program into an APK as the new development tools were daunting and often failing us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having a program that actually recognizes speech and uses the ChatGPT database to answer prompts is the biggest thing we're proud of

What we learned

We learned how to utilize python packages, how to incorporate the ChatGPT API, and learned how to use Unity.

What's next for O.K. XREAL

Learn how to convert Python code into an APK app so it can be utilized by the XREAL devices. How to build it properly with Unity to incorporate UI elements.
