E -Riyal Project Details
Inspiration For many pilgrims, Hajj is seen as a journey of body and soul at the same time.as hajj is the fifth pillar of the pillars of Islam, which is maintained by millions of Muslims annually, And the number of Pilgrims is increasing every year until the number of pilgrims reached about 2.4 million people, so we think to make the first new sustainable electronic currency for hajj and umrah transactions.
What it does E-Riyal coin for all hajj and umrah transactions is characterized by protection and ease of trading between the business sectors (B2B) are eager to the process of Hajj starting from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and government agencies passing through companies and Airlines & hotels through block chain platform.
How we built it Through blockchain platform and payment gateways integrations .
Challenges we ran into
People – are probably the most important resource on hajj and the challenge that the government has to meet when using digital transformation management relies on the efficient utilization hajj and Umrah reservation agencies & companies. It is vital that the right people are used, that they receive the correct training and that they are clear on the objectives of the project.
Technical – Due to the unique nature of e riyal project the government will frequently be the need to provide new technology. The challenge will be dealing with this new technology like
- do we have the staff who can use it?
- will they need training?
- does the technology we require easy to use!
Legal – all governmental sectors will have to deal with law and legislation when embarking on a project. Project work frequently involves working abroad and always includes the use of smart contracts. Saudi government must therefore determine which legal system they will employ for their project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of Our project idea is unique as we try to build the first E Coin via Blockchain methodology and we try to provide sustainability way for (Time, cost and quality ) as process and the biggest challenge faced by all E-Governmental sectors that they wish to use digital transformation to ensuring their projects deliver the agreed objectives within time, cost and to the agreed quality. These factors must be balanced in relation to the overall scope of the project.
What we learned We learned lots of hajj process and every problem that Saudi government faces at present and we know that Saudi vision want to increase the number of pilgrims to reach 4 million in 2030 .
What's next for O-009-ERiyal Our teamwork expected to satisfy stakeholders to be able to identify that the vision statement includes everything the project E-RIYAL should accomplish then we expected to expand from B2B to B2C .
