Inspiration
Our inspiration for developing the Nylas Integrator app stems from our passion to create the most simplified experience for developers and end users. We wanted to create a tool that can be easily used by both developers and end users alike while being able change to the evolving needs of all stakeholders.
What it does
Nylas Integrator implements the full spectrum of the Nylas API including webhooks in an easy to use Make application. This allows any action or event to be connected to any other API capable application in a matter or seconds. The possibilities of what can now be done with Nylas are now left up to one imagination. Data acquired from each operation can by channeled into AI prompts and actions creating solutions that can make statistically sound decisions. Dynamic workflows based on Nylas can now be created and tested in hours instead on weeks.
How we built it
We built the Nylas Integrator using Make's automation platform SDK and Javascript. We used tools like Postman and webhook.site. Each action or event was carefully modeled to reflect the Nylas API documentation.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge was configuring the Make platform to work with the structure of the Nylas webhooks challenge as Nylas send the challenge in a querystring.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have been able to extend such a great tool and we hope you have as much fun using it as we had creating it.
What we learned
During our development of this project we learnt the about the wealth of data that can be gleamed and harnessed from email and calendar communication. These can create systems that provide meaning communications in a timely manner ensuring that users welcome communication instead of avoid them.
What's next for Nylas AI & Automation Project
Our next chapter will be to further increase user experience for the current app, making it even easier to use.
