Inspiration
I used to work for the Brooklyn Public Library Community Health team and also the Home Internet Access Program (now called the Neighborhood Tech Help). When one of the social workers left the team, I briefly worked on the social work team and helped refer library patrons to resources in the neighborhood that would address their needs. I started to compile these resources into a document but because I was working out of many different branches, it was hard to identify which resources were available specifically in that neighborhood.

What's next for NYC Services Guide
It would be useful to add more resources and services as well as being able to a provide a consolidated calendar view of community events/workshops, such as specific job training or tech classes, workshops on how to sign up for Housing Connect or other social services enrollment events and upcoming food distribution events.
