Inspiration: Families and singles don't know there's legal help to stop homelessness. Goddard Law Project saved me from unscrupulous landlords. I don't have a problem with landlords that have scruples and do right by their tenants, but it's the bad ones that lie to their tenants, and tenants don't know any better. There are some that don't even know there are free legal tenants' rights organizations that will help them with bad landlords. Also, some landlords are simply greedy - not caring about tenants; all they see is dollar signs. I posted to Goddard's link on the neighborhood app: nextdoor.com, and a wife and mother commented the next day that Goddard saved her, and she was so grateful. The following week, the something happened. This is my way of giving back. That type of proof showed me that the information is not posted in vain; that it did help someone, and I'm all about that. But don't bad landlords realize that if they make tenants homeless, eventually, tenants will have no choice but to camp in front of the very buildings they were evicted from. Like a tide returning to the beach.
What it does: Along with helping potential homeless tenants with legal services, they may need to feed themselves and/or children.
