Introduction: The "Big Idea" Every friend group has that one chat . the one where everyone’s hyped about going somewhere together. It starts with “We should totally go to Miami!” and ends… Well, it doesn’t end. The group chat just dies. That’s the “Group Chat Graveyard” where good intentions go to rest. Nvrmade is built to resurrect those forgotten plans. It’s an AI powered, Gen Z native trip planner that makes organizing group trips fun, fast, and collaborative. Think less “spreadsheet,” more “shared chaos with purpose.” Instead of managing calendars and budgets, Nvrmade makes trip planning feel like a game filled with memes, moodboards, swipes, and a little bit of AI sass. The result? Trips that don’t just get talked about they actually get made. The Problem: The Group Chat Graveyard Let’s be real: Gen Z doesn’t hate trips . We hate planning them. Every group chat has the same storyline. Someone floats an idea (“Let’s do a road trip!”), everyone sends emojis, the hype peaks… then nothing happens. The excitement fizzles because planning feels like work, and no one wants to be the “planner friend” again. Traditional travel tools Google Docs, TripAdvisor, Excel sheets are built for productivity, not vibes. They don’t match the social, impulsive, meme driven way Gen Z makes plans. Our research revealed a few key truths: User Behavior: Gen Z users live across multiple group chats, value experiences over things, and make decisions emotionally, not just rationally. Problem Context: Planning feels like a chore. The “planner friend” gets overwhelmed, and the group loses momentum.
Tech Assumption: AI can interpret vague inputs like “vibe,” “budget,” and “chaos energy” into real, actionable trip ideas.
Nvrmade’s mission is to transform the planning phase from logistics into play. The User: Meet the Group Chat To design for Nvrmade, you have to understand the cast of characters who live in every group chat. Meet Luna, the Hype Initiator. She’s the first to say, “Let’s go somewhere!” She floods the chat with Pinterest boards, reels, and chaotic energy. But when it’s time to actually plan? She ghosts because spreadsheets kill her vibe. Then there’s Arjun, the Finance Conscious Friend. He’s practical, always asking, “How much are we talking?” He’s not trying to ruin the fun, he just needs clarity before committing. Most tools don’t show him the cost up front, which makes him lose interest early. And finally, Maya, the Down for Whatever Friend. She reacts with hearts, laughs at memes, and says “I’m in!” but somehow never fills out the poll, never votes, never confirms. Nvrmade is built for all three of them for the chaos, the caution, and the silence. Its UX speaks their language, mixing humor, visual clarity, and instant gratification. It’s the middle ground between group chat chaos and real world commitment.
The Solution: The "Nvrmade Fun Flow" Planning a trip on Nvrmade feels less like filling a form and more like joining a shared, interactive game. From "Vibe Check" to "Starter Pack" It all starts with one bold button: “Start a Vibe .” Instead of asking for flight dates or cities, Nvrmade opens with a quick Vibe Check. The AI fires off questions like: “Budget? Or Money?” “Energy? Chill or Chaos ?” “Timing? ASAP or Someday ?” Within seconds, the AI translates the group’s vibe into three moodboard style trip ideas: the AI Starter Pack. Each includes destinations, activities, and a tone matched tagline like “Main Character Energy: Unlocked.” The experience is highly visual Funky bold colors, collage layouts, quick scrolls making it feel more like a meme generator than a travel planner.
From "Swipe Night" to "The Nudge"
Once the AI drops the Starter Pack, the group gets a shared link with no login required, no sign-ups, no friction, just instant entry. Everyone hops in and swipes through trip options, Tinder style. Cancún? Swipe right. Austin? Swipe left. Hiking in Colorado? Maybe. Votes appear live, and a real-time feed displays everyone’s reactions, creating a sense of shared chaos and immediacy. Naturally, someone always lags behind Maya. That’s where the Nudge Bot steps in. It doesn’t nag; it roasts. Playful messages call out anyone ghosting the process, keeping the tone light and encouraging participation. For Arjun, the system automatically tags each trip with a Budget Bar, offering transparency and peace of mind. He sees cost tiers and logistics without needing to ask. Meanwhile, Luna thrives in this energy. The colorful visuals, quick swipes, and instant group feedback keep her motivated and engaged and the vibe stays alive from start to finish.
- Conclusion : Next Steps Nvrmade succeeds because it flips the psychology of planning. Instead of fighting Gen Z’s impulsive, social nature, it embraces it, turning logistics into laughs, decisions into swipes, and accountability into a shared joke. It reimagines planning as a vibe, not a checklist. Moving forward, we envision integrating real time booking APIs and AI powered budget optimization, Because in the end, the goal is simple: Trips don’t have to stay in the chat. With Nvrmade, they actually get made.
