Nutrition Analyzer

Many people have the poor vision and nutrition facts have very small fonts. With a simple photo, this app will detect key ingredients in the product, and notify the user of them.

Inspiration My Grandma has very poor vision. When she shops at a grocery store, many times she can't even see the nutrition facts. This is why I built Nutrion Analyzer, to help understand what the products people are.

What it does My app uses ai api's to inspect what a product is from just a photo, and then it explains to the user what is good, and what is bad in the product

How we built it I built it using featherless.ai to inspect the image, and Web Speech API to turn the text into speech. This is necessary as people with poor vision, might just be better off hearing about the product

Challenges we ran into Throughout this project, my main obstacle was actually connecting the api to the app

Accomplishments that we're proud of Actually making this app usable and give out positive feedback

What we learned I learned the importance of understanding API's and how to use them

What's next for Nutrition Analyzer Hopefully I will be able to attach more api's to make the app more complex, and maybe one day even publish the app for people with poor vision to use
