Inspiration
Nutriship was inspired by the growing issue of poor nutrition among students and working professionals with busy lifestyles. During my observation, I noticed that many individuals, especially those staying in PG accommodations, struggle to maintain a balanced diet due to time constraints and lack of proper guidance. This led me to develop Nutriship, a solution aimed at helping users monitor their nutrition and adopt healthier eating habits efficiently.
One of the key challenges we faced was understanding how to apply machine learning concepts practically using WEKA, especially in classifying and analyzing nutritional data. Another challenge was designing a user-friendly interface while ensuring the system remains functional and efficient. We also encountered difficulties in data collection and structuring meaningful datasets for analysis. Time management and task distribution within the team were additional challenges that we worked through. In the future, Nutriship can be expanded into a full-fledged application by integrating advanced machine learning models for personalized diet recommendations. It can include features such as real-time calorie tracking, fitness device integration, and AI-based meal planning. Developing a mobile application and adding user authentication, cloud storage, and chatbot support for diet guidance can further enhance user experience.
