Although there are many articles and YouTube influencers sharing healthy meal ideas and videos telling us what to eat to stay healthy and achieve our desired weight, these recommendations are often difficult to implement in real life. Many times, we just want to grab something quickly from a nearby restaurant during lunch or eat whatever is convenient while lying at home after work.

While there are meal-planning apps like [example apps], they assume we can always cook at home or visit the recommended restaurants, which is not always feasible. Food delivery apps like Uber Eats allow us to order meals conveniently, but they often lack nutritional information, making it hard to track our diet. Although some apps provide restaurant recommendations based on users' preferences and offer nutritional information, they don’t take location into account—they don’t suggest restaurants near the user.

Moreover, most recommendation apps only suggest full meals. For example, if a user wants a 300-calorie lunch, the app might suggest a 288-calorie salad. However, many users still crave high-calorie foods like fried chicken. A full portion of fried chicken might have excessive calories, so it wouldn't be recommended at all.

Our idea is to create an app that helps users enjoy the foods they love while staying within their calorie goals. Instead of restricting options, the app would recommend nearby restaurants and suggest portion sizes. For example, if a user wants fried chicken, the app could tell them exactly how much they can eat while still maintaining their health goals. This way, users can enjoy their favorite foods without compromising their dietary plans.

Our app will make calorie and nutrition management more practical and accessible in everyday life. Everyone will be able to easily find the right restaurant, the right food combinations, and the right portion sizes to meet their dietary goals.
