Challenges we faced
During our journey at the TechTogether hackathon, our team encountered a few notable challenges that tested our resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
Challenge 1: Lack of Resources for OpenAI API Integration One of the hurdles we faced was the limited availability of resources, which prevented us from utilizing the OpenAI API key to seamlessly integrate it into our web application. We quickly adapted and devised a short-term solution. We leveraged the power of prompt generation, crafting prompts that would engage users effectively and provide them with valuable information. Additionally, we directed users directly to ChatGPT, ensuring a seamless user experience despite the temporary workaround.
Challenge 2: Limited Resources and Backend Development Another challenge we encountered was the scarcity of resources and experience in backend development. Given these constraints, we needed to think creatively to find the best solution with the knowledge and tools at our disposal. Through collaboration and brainstorming, we discovered a viable alternative. While backend development may have been limited, we maximized the potential of our frontend capabilities to deliver a robust user experience.

Looking ahead, NutriGenie has an exciting roadmap to enhance its capabilities and empower users on their nutrition journey. Our next steps include:
Storing Data in a Database: To further improve functionality and user experience, we plan to implement a robust backend solution that will securely store user data. This will allow for seamless access to personalized information and enable advanced features in future updates.
API Integration: We are actively working towards integrating APIs to expand NutriGenie's functionality and offer users a wider range of services. By leveraging external APIs, we aim to enhance the app's capabilities and provide even more personalized and insightful nutrition guidance.
