Inspiration
When it comes to applications that help people keep track of their nutrient intake they do not provide full consideration of the user's personal needs. For instance, individuals may need accommodations to gain their nutrients through delivery, they may not have awareness on where to buy their nutrients, or they simply do not know what nutrients they need. There is also an issue through which several individuals are unaware if they are consuming nutrients in adequate amounts. We additionally contemplated on the notion that there are a plethora of local businesses that have the precise meals to meet these individuals' needs but lack the tools to deliver it. We thus decided there should be an application that provides such accessibility.
What it does
At Nutrifarm, we believe there are two kinds of people when it comes to accessing one's nutrients: the customers and the sellers. The app is essentially split into two different account options, one for each type of user. For customers, they are provided with access to view their personal account activity, chart their nutrient intake, view it displayed in a calendar, and request recommendations for recipes to improve their diets. For sellers, they are the providers that grant users access to their desired nutrients and grow their businesses. They have accessibility to deliver their products more swiftly to a number of intermediaries and increase their incomes.
How we built it
We implemented Bubble.io to create Nutrifarm through creating a series of pages, workflows, and plugins that ties its features all into one web application. We used Google maps API to search for best grocery stores nearby.
Challenges we ran into
- Issues with connecting the calendar to the data.
- Issues with building the buttons.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Successfully created a functioning web demo.
- Successfully brought our primary visualizations on the project to light.
What we learned
- The functionalities of Bubble:
- How to navigate the UI frontend aspects of Bubble -How to use Bubble.io for the backend of our web app as well
- How to sync a Bubble project with its backend features
What's next for Nutrifarm
- Publishing it to a web application for individuals to gain their desired support
- Allowing individuals to consult doctors nearby from the web app itself
