Inspiration

NUS campus life is vibrant and bursting with activities across different CCAs and halls. At times, it can be overwhelming, trying to look for an event or activity to participate in. That is why we wanted to have a space where students can easily access all these events with a click.

What it does

Provide time and description of events in hall (CCA, academic, etc.), allow organization to submit a new event to promote, can sort the event by time

How we built it

Using React and Ruby on Rails. Use heroku for backend. Use vercel to deploy

Challenges we ran into

Time constraint, especially since we want to implement many more functions.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Able to make a nice looking UI/UX and intuitive user interaction + allow user to create events

What we learned

It's not easy to make a user friendly product + integrating front end and back end as a team

What's next for NUSCalendy

Connect to Google Calendar to allow user to add events straight to their personal calendar
