Inspiration

Nusantara, home for millions of enrich culture, are facing serious risk of extinction. These Problem are shown with proofs, such as extinction or of threat of extinction to some regional culture’s language. Even tho digitalization are often used, as time goes on and information spread, the cultural values that exist within citizen seems to deteriorate. And with the recent challenges upon todays generation with their “Short Attention Span” problem, that demand fast and short pace contents. Topics about culture are often boring, we intent to deploy a platform to show and share culture in a fun way! by making in highly interactive for anyone and anywhere without making it seems like it’s just another passive platform.

Solution

introducing Nusa Visual! Nusa Visual is a digital platform that share culture, it is a new place for anyone who want to contribute without feeling like their reading a disregard news. By making the Platform sosial media basis oriented, making it more likely for a lot hooked, this also push the user to make articles in relation to anything culture realted, while also giving an option to upload any form of image that push visual regarding the culture in topic, which push the memory to remember it in visual aspect.

Main Feature

Nusa Visual offer the beauty of culture closeness in todays content consumption format: dense, brief, yet often. From the interactive Map, Users are able to find adventure on the beauty of culture just from a click. And by having a social media text based formatted, it push the likely hood for the user to be interested in pushing the livelyness of cultures. Users are able be informed culture per province through the Map feature, because this part provide option to a specific province from a simple click that will inform a short form version about the culture to the precise location they choose, such information include: brief image about the culture, songs with corelation to the region, pin/logo to the the culture, shorted general definition to the region and culture, and much more.

How we built it

Frontend: headlessui/react: UI component without style (unstyled) for React, used with Tailwind CSS. framer-motion: Library animation for React, to ease transition and interactive effect. leaflet: Library JavaScript to show interactive Map. lucide-react: Open-source Icon with React basis, light and consistent. NextJS: Framework React for web fullstack growt with reature SSR and automatics routing. ReactJS: Main library for building UI basis component. react-dom: Connect React with DOM browser. react-hot-toast: Show toast notification (small pop-up) with a modern outlook react-leaflet: Integrate Leaflet to React, to wease up Maps management as React component. sweetalert2: Library for pop-up alert, interactive and appealing. swiper: Library slider/carousel modern and responsif. tailwindcss: Framework utility-first CSS for building fast and consistent design.

Backend: @auth/prisma-adapter: Adapter for connacting NextAuth with Prisma ORM. Next-Auth: System authentication for application Next.js (login, session, ect). bcryptjs: For encrypt password (hashing). cloudinary: Cloud assistant for storing and managing image/video file. prisma: ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) modern for accessing database with TypeScript. Neon Serverless Postgres: Database PostgreSQL cloud basis, serverless and scalable. Gemini: Model AI from Google that can be used for integration feature with AI basis.

Challenges we ran into

To understand and also to adapt so that the content still stand to be fun and catching to the User Ideas that are not able to be implemented because the limited resource and time. Some part of the AI that are wanky by it’s way of responding to the User. Some part that are needed to be displayed in a mobile format are disheveled.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we are triumphant, we constructed a solution from a problem that not only uses a digital media it's one of its fundamental tools, but we also focus on the orientation of the users— which in this case, it is the problem of short attention span, which makes us discuss that not only is this platform another digital service but also an open platform for people to collaborate in glorifying the beauty of culture.

What's next for Nusa Visual

Applications : Can be develop further that shares a wider range of culture and a lot more category. To Filter content in a more precise manner that follows the main Theme, Culture. More customization for Users to experience. design the Frontend to fit the Users comfortability further. Penyempurnaan Chat bot AI dalam penyampaian budaya Nusantara And to keep accuracy in mind, Professionals in such fields will be getting a specific badge. These Badge are given to those who give high accuracy in Ancient Artifact category ( in which these are items or infrastructure that are archaic or are about to extinct), in which when the information spread are approved to be valid.
