Inspiration

Diet apps often treat food as a deficit: calories, macros, restriction. I wanted the opposite — meals that feel satisfying on busy days, with leftovers and mixed plates, without calorie guilt as the hero.

Nurolia is built around a simple combo: protein · fiber · healthy fat. Scan a meal, see how the combo stacks, and get practical tips to stay fuller longer. Satiety-first nutrition — not calorie counting, not macro tracking, not a restrictive meal plan.

What it does

  • Photograph or pick a meal; AI vision returns a satiety-focused breakdown
  • Combo score and tips (what to add for fullness), not a calorie leaderboard
  • History and a calm daily dashboard
  • Google Sign-In; English + Vietnamese
  • Free tier: limited scans and coach messages per day
  • Nurolia Pro (RevenueCat + Google Play Billing): unlimited scans, AI meal plans, Health Coach, reports — monthly or yearly, 3-day trial

How I built it

Flutter (Android). RevenueCat (purchases_flutter) with entitlement Nurolia Pro. Google Play Billing. Firebase Auth/Firestore. Groq vision with Gemini fallback. Solo builder.

Challenges

Shipping a brand-new Play listing (com.nurolia.app) under a personal developer account: Closed testing must reach 12 opted-in testers for 14 days before Production. Keeping Google Sign-In, Play Billing, and RevenueCat aligned across signing keys. Resisting calorie-hero UX so the Nutrition brief stays honest.

What's next

Keep the satiety loop sharp, then grow Pro through RevenueCat (trial → unlimited scans, coach, and plans) after the first public Play release.
