Neura - Track 2

Inspiration

Prince Harry and Prince William's discussions on the difficulty of men coming out and discussing their mental health issues, along with further news discussions. We were also inspired by how much clinical accrediation that Shen and Thymia have. Also, we were inspired by making mental health therapy instantly affordable and accessible to all.

What it does

It provides real-time consultation with a video avatar therapist, where voice and video biomarkers are captured in real time, relayed to an LLM for active observation during conversation.

How we built it

Claude code plus: Agora conversational voice AI, Anam.AI avatar, thymia.ai voice biometrics, shen.ai video biometrics elevenlabs TTS, deepgram STT, gpt 5.4 LLM

Challenges we ran into

We had issues with the signal quality coming from the camera, and then producing reliable results. To resolve this, we moved into better light, and quieter surroundings. There was also end-to-end latency that we then optimized with turn-detection configuration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is genuinely a fantastic voice / video avatar project that we're proud to present. We think we can make a difference with this

What we learned

We learned how much can be done with claude code, and we also learnt about how much extra efficiency is produced from working in a tight-knit and happy team.
